UEC Tenure Track Program for Professors

In addition to hiring professors (full-professors and associate professors) through an ordinary open recruitment process, the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) also hires young professors through its tenure track program. This program has two components:

• The UEC Tenure Track Program for Associate Professors
• The UEC Tenure Track Program for Assistant Professors

These are young researcher development programs that aim to improve the ability of researchers to engage in advanced education and research by offering various incentives and an environment oriented toward tenure attainment. The tenure track period is five years. Candidates who pass a review conducted at the end of the tenure track program will be granted tenure status.
