Library and Facilities

University Library

Purpose

The goal of the University Library is to collect, store, and make public the books and materials that are necessary for the research and education of the university and to coordinate work related to academic information.

Using the Library

The University Library is the academic information center that supports the innovative research and education of the university, which excels in the fields of information and communication. The library has a collection of more than 300,000 books that cover a wide range of subjects, including engineering, natural sciences, social science, literature, philosophy, and language. The library also has DVDs, videos, and other audio-visual materials and areas where these materials can be viewed. In addition, the library has a rich assortment of electronic library functions, and users can search for materials and use Internet databases, electronic journals, and other resources from PCs within the library and in laboratories.

Ambient Intelligence Agora

Ambient Intelligence Agora is an experimental and new learning space which is able to accommodate more than 270 people. It was established jointly with the Artificial Intelligence eXploration Research Center in April 2017.
Users can practice presentations or discuss each other by using wireless presentation devices, projectors, monitors, and glass whiteboards.
There are human, temperature, humidity, and CO2 sensor, network camera, etc. in Agora, and the behaviors of users are converted to data while fully considering protection of personal information.
The data are expected to be used for research on big data, artificial intelligence, robotics, adaptive learning and so on.
