A Courtesy Call Paid by Exchange Students from KMUTT and KMITL on 2012 Summer Training Program

April 23, 2012

On April 18th, three students from KMUTT (King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi) and another three from KMITL (King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang), Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Dr. Kajitani, the UEC president and Dr. Fukuda, the director of Center for International Programs and Exchange. The six students are presently on Summer Short Exchange Training Program with UEC. Following a brief report by our supervisory professors, they told in English and Japanese about the initial impression they had being in Japan and what they want to achieve in this program with slightly anxious look on each face.

On this annual exchange, participants from KMUTT are receiving practical trainings on digital signal processing at Higuchi, Nakano, and Kirimoto Labs each, Mechanical Engineering and Intelligent System, during April 2 - May 4, 2012. Whereas, those from KMITL are participating in the same on robotics and mechatronics at Kanamori Lab in the same department, during April 16 – May 18, 2012. During UEC's summer break, in turn, our students will take training sessions in such fields held at KMITL and KMUTT campus for a month.

This program has been approved for Short Stay & Short Visit Program by JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization) this year and conducted with its scholarship support.
