The International Symposium on Innovative Teaching and Research in ESP 2014-Call for Posters

We are pleased to announce that the International Symposium on Innovative Teaching and Research in ESP 2014 will be held on Feb 22, 2014 (Saturday) at the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) Tokyo, Japan. Speakers include Stefan Gries (UCSB, USA), CAI Minggan(Fudan University, China), Moonsub Han (Hanyang University, South Korea), Winnie Cheng (Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China), Laurence Anthony (Waseda University, Japan), Theron Muller (Toyama University, Japan) and SHI Jie(University of Electro-Communications, Japan).

We are inviting abstracts for poster presentations on the following themes:

  1. Approaches, methods and pedagogy
  2. ESP theories: Developments and applications
  3. Innovation in ESP: syllabus & curriculum
  4. Materials development
  5. Needs Analysis
  6. Corpus Linguistics and data-driven learning
  7. Language Issues in ESP
  8. Testing and assessment
  9. Teacher training and development
  10. Any other themes related to ESP
  • Poster title: Maximum 12 words
  • Poster abstracts: Maximum 200 words
  • Affiliations and full contact of presenter(s)
  • Biography of presenter(s): Maximum 50 words
  • Submit abstracts as MS Word(doc or docx)
  • Deadline for submission: Jan 15th,2014(Wednesday).Please submit all documents to: shi.jie@uec.ac.jp.
  • Notification of acceptance: Jan 31,2014
  • Please submit completed posters as PDF by Feb 14,2014(Friday).

Conference proceedings will be compiled into a special edition following the conference.
