Report:Signing of MoU with University of West Attica (Athens, Greece)

April 4, 2024

On March 15, 2024, the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) and the University of West Attica signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Academic Exchange and Research Collaboration and Cooperation to further promote international exchange.

On the same day, Prof. Abe, a Member of the Board of Directors of UEC in charge of Education and International Strategy, Professor Hobara from the Department of Computer and Network Engineering, and staff from the International Affairs Division visited the University of West Attica for the signing ceremony. Prof. Hobara has been engaged in research exchange with Prof. Potirakis of the University of West Attica and is the driving force behind this agreement. Following an introduction of the two universities, Prof. Kaldis, the Rector of the University of West Attica, signed the agreement. The signing ceremony was followed by an exchange of views to further promote research and student exchange between the two universities.

The University of West Attica is considered one of the fastest-growing universities not only in Greece but also in Southeastern Europe. It has a robust educational and research foundation in engineering. It is expected that mutual exchange of faculty members and students, including those in the electrical, information, mechanical, and biotechnology fields, as well as the organization of international joint seminars, will enhance the quality of education and research at both universities and foster further internationalization.
