Report: The international workshop on Investigation and Control of Transition to Turbulence

On March 27th to 30th, the international workshop on Investigation and Control of Transition to Turbulence was hosted by the University of Electro-communications (UEC). The workshop on transition to turbulence has been pursued in the last 25 years. On the occasion of the anniversaries, the international workshop has been performed. This conference provided forum on the recent researches on transition to turbulence to exchange technical knowledge between attendees and the invited researchers from abroad. More than one hundred participants attended through the meeting. At the workshop, the participants including graduate students at UEC presented their hard-earned achievements. The UEC graduate students received kind and significant comments from the invited researchers. Reaffirming its significance, this international workshop closed in success.

Invited speakers are as follows: Assoc. Prof. Jens H.M. Fransson (KTH, Sweden), Prof. Jerzy M. Floryan (Univ. Western Ontario, Canada), Prof. Sanjiva K. Lele (Stanford University, USA), Prof. Masato Nagata (Kyoto University, Japan), and Prof. Henrik Alfredsson (KTH, Sweden).
