INTRODUCTION

JSPS-DST Asian Academic Seminar is to provide young researchers of Asian countries (including Japan) opportunities to undergo intensive training in areas of the latest academic research. The aim is to contribute to the fostering of young researchers and to raise the standard of research in Asian countries.

The topics of this Seminar will cover representative aspects of recent advances in the study of novel nanostructured materials, functionalized surfaces and their applications, electronic and magnetic properties, surface structure and catalysis, chemical design of active surfaces, advanced batteries and fuel cells, nanostructure fabrication on surfaces, new developments in surface and nanomaterial analysis, computational modeling, etc.
The Seminar will also provide opportunities to undergo Schooling "Synchrotron X-ray
Techniques for NanoStructured Materals".
