On Friday, May 9th, 2025, the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) and Poznan University of Technology (PUT) jointly held "Poland Day". This exchange event was organized by a delegation from the Republic of Poland, primarily centered around a group from PUT visiting Japan with the main purpose of participating in the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, to introduce Polish science and technology, Polish traditional culture, to Japan. A series of events are scheduled to be held sequentially in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. In Tokyo, our university, which has a long-standing relationship with PUT, provided the venue.
On the day of the event, UEC and PUT held the "International Scientific Exchange Seminar" as a scientific and technological exchange between the two universities, and "Discovering Polish Traditions" as an introduction to Polish traditional culture.
The "International Scientific Exchange Seminar" saw the participation of approximately 60 people, featuring a wide range of presentations and lively discussions spanning the fields of Informatics and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Sustainable Society, and Space Innovation. At "Discovering Polish Traditions," held outdoors at the Communication Park, UEC students and faculty, along with local residents, enjoyed folk dances with the folk dance ensemble " Poligrodzianie " and engaged in cultural exchange by wearing traditional costumes and taking commemorative photos.
