On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, a delegation from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand, including Vice President Chawin Chantharasenawong, Vice President Chaowalit Limmaneevichitr, and Parinchat Traipanvasart, International Coordinator, International Affairs Office, visited the University of Electro-Communications (UEC).
During the visit, they met with President Shunichi Tano, Masakazu Muramatsu, Member of the Board of Directors (Education Strategy), Kazuaki Oya, Member of the Board of Directors (International and Public Relations Strategy), and Professor Hiroki Takahashi. The meeting began with welcome remarks from President Tano and Professor Muramatsu, followed by remarks on behalf of the visiting delegation by Vice President Chaowalit Limmaneevichitr. The participants then engaged in active discussions on future international collaboration between KMUTT and UEC.
The delegation also visited the laboratory of Professor Tomio Okawa of the Department of Mechanical and Intelligent Systems Engineering, where they received an overview of cutting-edge research and ongoing research activities, toured the laboratory facilities, and exchanged views on research.
This visit provided a valuable opportunity to further strengthen the relationship between the two universities and to promote future collaboration in education and research.
