On May 26, 2026, The University of Electro-Communications (UEC) concluded an International Exchange Agreement and a Student Exchange Memorandum with the Pandit Dwarka Prasad Mishra Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur (IIITDM Jabalpur), India.
IIITDM Jabalpur is a national institute established with the support of the Government of Japan under the 2005 Japan-India Joint Statement. The institute specializes in education and research in information technology, electronics, mechanical engineering, and design, and is recognized as one of India's leading institutions in the field of information technology.
The agreement was initiated through exchanges at the Japan-India University Exchange Forum. Since then, the two universities have continued discussions on opportunities for research collaboration and student mobility. In addition, researchers from both institutions have already been engaged in academic exchanges, particularly in the fields of mechanical engineering and robotics, laying the foundation for further collaboration in research and education.
Through the conclusion of this agreement and memorandum, UEC and IIITDM Jabalpur are expected to further strengthen their partnership in both education and research. The agreement will promote student exchanges and joint research activities, contributing to the development of highly skilled professionals with a global perspective.
