The development of artificial intelligence has brought both opportunities and challenges to biomedical sensing and industrial diagnostics. This presentation focuses on the Edge AI research of the APICS Laboratory in the EE Department at YUNTECH in Taiwan. The entire process and key points of Edge AI hardware and software development and implementation will be present, including models, processors, and hardware design and considerations.
The Edge AI application examples will discuss:
1. UEC and Yuntech collaboration project, non-contact physiological signal measurement, with hardware circuitry and software models;
2. Federated learning and knowledge distillation applied to industrial diagnostics system, including the innovative architecture; and
3. Smart application examples: the smart coffee kettles and a smart divination system.
