Mr. Taiyo Ushiyama (D2, Department of Computer and Network Engineering
) at the Satoshi Ono Laboratory, has received the Best Technical Paper Award in the Student Paper Contest at the 2026 IEEE MTT-S International Conference on Numerical Electromagnetic and Multiphysics Modeling and Optimization (NEMO 2026).
The conference was held in Valencia, Spain, from Wednesday, July 1 to Friday, July 3, 2026. The presented research is the result of a successful collaborative study with the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ).
NEMO 2026 will bring together experts and practitioners in electromagnetic (EM) and multiphysics-based modeling, simulation, and optimization for RF, microwave, and terahertz applications.
Out of 158 presentations delivered by more than 200 participants, this prestigious award was presented to only three outstanding student speakers.
