Information Technology Center

purpose

Information systems are part of the foundation of the education, research, and management of the university. The goal of this center is to provide high-quality information-system solutions that meet the needs of each individual student and faculty member.

Responsibilities

1. Matters pertaining to the establishment of a fundamental strategy, medium-term plan, annual plan, and other plans for the informatization of university-wide education, research, and administration
2. Matters pertaining to the building of a common, university-wide information system
3. Matters pertaining to the management and maintenance of a common, university-wide information system and the provision of service and technical guidance to the users of the information system
4. Matters pertaining to the establishment and enforcement of a fundamental policy for information security and information management related to the common, university-wide information system
5. Matters pertaining to the receipt of electronic academic information from outside the university, the transmission of electronic academic information outside the university, and the use of electronic academic information within the university

Departments

This center comprises five departments: the library computerization department, the campus network department, the computing support department, the information media education department, and the administration computerization department.

Library Computerization Department

Handles duties relating to library academic information system management, the receipt of electronic academic information from outside the university, the transmission of electronic academic information outside the university, and the use of electronic academic information within the university

Campus Network Department

Handles duties relating to the building, management, and maintenance of a university-wide information system and the maintenance of information security

Computing Support Department

Handles duties relating to the use of computer systems in education and research

Information Media Education Department

Handles duties relating to the educational use of information technology and the support of information education and information education programs

Administration Computerization Department

Handles duties relating to the use of computer systems in administration
