Report：The 3rd ASEAN - UEC Workshop on Informatics and Engineering for SDGs, jointly held with ECTI Workshop on BEC

On December 10, 2021, the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) held an international workshop titled "The 3rd ASEAN - UEC Workshop on Informatics and Engineering for SDGs, jointly held with ECTI Workshop on BEC" in collaboration with the ECTI Association. In this 3rd ASEAN-UEC workshop was held in a form of online and onsite together. ECTI Workshop on Biomedical Electrical-Electronics and Communications Engineering was given at Ayutthaya Rajabhat University (ARU) in Thailand, and ASEAN - UEC Workshop on Informatics and Engineering for SDGs was performed online.

In the first half of the joint workshop, opening remarks was given by the President of Ayutthaya Rajabhat University, followed by welcome remarks by ECTI President Assoc. Prof. Sinchai Kamolphiwong and the member of the board of directors of UEC, Prof. Koji Abe. Also six lectures on the theme of BEC and SDGs were given by the guest speakers invited from all over the Asian countries. In the second half, a total of 100 poster presentations were given on 2 online sites and 1 local sites at the ARU. In our workshop session, 25 posters were presented mainly for the students of ASEAN and UEC. There were approximately 130 participants at the ARU onsite and approximately 60 participants online, in a total of approximately 190 participants. The workshop was held on a grand scale despite the COVID-19 situation, and provided the students of ASEAN and UEC a great opportunity to present at an international conference, making it a very significant workshop.
