On September 25, 2024, the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) and Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT) signed an Agreement to establish Collaborative Office Hub between the two institutions. On the same day, Prof. Li Guanglin, Director of Institute of Advanced Integration Technologies, and 4 other members of SIAT visited UEC for the signing ceremony. Following a welcome speech by UEC President Tano and remarks by Prof. Li, they proceeded to sign the agreement. After the signing ceremony, introductions of each institution as well as presentations on their respective programs and research were made.
SIAT is a research institute jointly established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Shenzhen municipal government, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, achieving significant results in talent development, academic research, and technology commercialization. This agreement is expected to accelerate the mutual exchange of research and students, enhance the quality of education and research at both universities, and promote further internationalization efforts.
