On November 21, 2024, the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) and Roskilde University signed a student exchange agreement. Following the establishment of a cooperation agreement with Roskilde University on January 1, 2023, active research exchanges have been conducted, focusing on the integration and visualization of traffic and air quality data for smart cities development, in collaboration with UEC's Visiting Associate Professor Go Yuasa.
After the initial cooperation agreement, discussions between Visiting Associate Professor Yuasa and Roskilde University faculty regarding research and student exchanges led to the signing of this student exchange agreement.
Roskilde University, one of Denmark's eight public universities, was established in 1972. The university distinguishes itself through educational reforms that emphasize group work and project-based learning over traditional lecture-based education, aiming to develop individuals capable of addressing social and professional challenges. Known for its dynamic discussions and collaborative approach, the university is situated approximately 30 minutes by train from Copenhagen, Denmark's capital, in one of the country's historic cities, which has a population of approximately 53,000. Its favorable location and excellent environment make it an attractive destination for UEC students seeking study abroad opportunities.
The signing of this student exchange agreement is expected to further enhance student mobility between the two institutions.
